Endowed funds are invested in perpetuity and grants are made from the income earned on the endowment. The SCF currently has six named Endowed Funds.
From time to time, the SCF receives flow through donations which are disbursed in a short period of time for a specific purpose.
The Board of the Foundation establishes guidelines or minimum recommended funding thresholds to establish a named endowment fund.
As the SCF grows, we expect that additional funds will be created that are directed to a specific field of interest. Field of Interest Funds currently exist for:
