Átl’ḵa7tsem / Howe Sound Biosphere Region Legacy Endowment Fund

The Howe Sound Biosphere Legacy Fund’s purpose is to support the Howe Sound Biosphere Region Initiative Society. Donations to this fund support specific projects, capacity building and long-term sustainability of the Society and activities to maintain the UNESCO designation. Learn more.

100 Women Who Care

Aiming to create a perpetual source of funding in the community for non-profits and local charities. The nature of the fund guarantees a timeless impact and the opportunity for local women donors to create a lasting legacy.
Established by the 100 Women Who Care Squamish Chapter in 2024.

Contributing to general charitable purposes within the Squamish community.
Established by the Board of the Squamish Community Foundation with contributions from the Founder’s circle.

Dollie Strelaeff Fund

This is a designated endowment fund. In her will, Dollie requested that her fund support the BC Cancer Foundation (30%), the Arthritis Society – BC and Yukon Division (30%) , and Hilltop House under the Squamish Hospital Foundation (40%)

Established by Lloyd and Leona Ingraham in 2005.

Sea to Sky Hospice Society Fund

Supporting compassionate care for all Sea to Sky residents with life limiting illness and ongoing support for their loved ones. Donations to this fund ensures continued support for those facing end of life, caregivers, and those grieving the loss of a loved one through hospice programs such as support groups, counselling, community connection and bereavement packages.

Supporting creating, artistic expression, and opportunities for people of all ages to experience and participate in music and the performing arts

The PearlSpace Music Fund

Inspired by PearlSpace’s Rhythm & Resilience program, Meg Fellowes established the PearlSpace Music Endowment Fund to provide ongoing support for PearlSpace Support Services Society. The fund helps sustain music, dance, arts-based and counselling programs that foster healing, creativity, and connection in the community.

The Ray Peters Sports & Recreation Fund

Supporting community recreation, trail development and Outdoor Leadership.
Established in 2006 in memory of Ray Peters, Squamish resident, whose dedication to the establishment of a trail network throughout the community is revered.

Communities That Care Fund

Although Communities that Care is no longer operating in Squamish, the disbursements from this fund continue to support local youth programming and services every year.
Established in 2004 by Communities that Care group with major contributions from the District of Squamish.

The Robert W. McIntosh Memorial Scholarship Fund

Supporting a graduating Squamish student pursuing post-secondary education who has demonstrated excellence in all areas of scholarship, athletics and citizenship. 
Established by friends and family in memory of Bob Mcintosh, who passed away in 1997

Ron Anderson Memorial Scholarship Fund

Supporting a Grade 12 student pursuing post-secondary education in Political Science, Business, or Transportation who has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service.
Established by Squamish Terminals in memory of former President and CEO Ron Anderson, a dedicated community volunteer and 2015 Citizen of the Year, who passed away in 2016.

Neighbourhood Small Grants Fund

Supporting small, resident-led projects that bring neighbours together, strengthen local connections, and inspire people to take an active role in making their community a better place.

The Neighbourhood Small Grants Fund

Since 2017, Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG) have supported projects that bring people together, share skills and knowledge, build a sense of belonging and respect, and celebrate diversity. Individuals can apply for micro-grants of up to $500 for activities such as community dinners, movie nights, crafts and gardening projects, and more. The Squamish Foundation established this fund to continue to enhance the NSG program in perpetuity.
Established in 2023 by the Squamish Community Foundation.
