Annual Grants Open May 1:
Supporting Community Impact in Squamish

Each year, the Squamish Community Foundation’s Annual Grants program helps bring meaningful community projects to life—supporting organizations that strengthen
the well-being of our community today, and for years to come. We’re excited to share that the 2026 Annual Grants applications will open on May 1, and we invite local registered charities to apply.

Investing in Community Impact

At the Squamish Community Foundation, we believe in the power of local giving to create lasting change. Through our Annual Grants program, we distribute funding from our Endowment Funds—an invested pool of community generosity that continues to grow and give back year after year.

This means that every grant awarded is part of something bigger: a long-term commitment to building a thriving, inclusive, and resilient Squamish.

Who Can Apply?

Any registered nonprofit or charitable organization are eligible to apply for funding to support specific projects that directly benefit the Squamish community.

Projects should align with one of the following grant categories:

  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Health & Social Development / Housing
  • Music & Performing Arts
  • Recreation & Sports
  • Youth Programming
  • General Fund for Urgent & Current Community Needs

Each application must clearly align with one category and fit within the available funding for that area.

What We’re Looking For

We’re proud to support projects that:

  • Address real community needs
  • Strengthen connections and belonging
  • Promote equity and reduce barriers
  • Enhance quality of life in Squamish

Whether it’s a youth initiative, an arts program, or a project supporting environmental stewardship, your work plays an important role in shaping our community.

Why Apply?

Beyond funding, our Annual Grants program is about partnership. We are committed to working alongside local organizations to support impactful, community-driven work.

By applying, you become part of a broader network of changemakers working to make Squamish stronger, more connected, and more resilient.
